DOG CONTROL ORDERS

(Clean Neighbourhoods & Environment Act 2005)

This notice is to confirm that the Parish Council of Somersham has, on 6 June 2011, made a Dogs Exclusion Order making it an offence for anyone taking a dog or dogs on to the area of land known as the Norwood Playing Fields (adjacent to the Victory Hall) including the multi sports area in the Parish of Somersham. (The Exclusion Orders will not apply to blind, deaf or other disabled people in respect of a registered dog they rely on for assistance).

The Order will come into force on 1 December 2011.

The Order applies to all land within the area bounded by Parkhall Road, The Trundle, Ditchfields, The Green, Green End Walk and Coronation Avenue known as the Norwood Playing Field but not including that part of the playing field which is fenced and contains children’s play equipment.

The Order can be viewed at the Parish Council Office, the Norwood Building, Parkhall Road, Somersham – Monday – Friday between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm.
